Senior Project Delivery Manager
Our Edmonton Client is searching for a Senior Project Delivery Manager on a long-term contract basis to come and join their team to perform project / program management and delivery of assigned IT projects.
Your success will be defined by your ability to :
- Providing oversight, guidance, and mentoring to a group of Project Managers reporting directly to them.
- Performing project / program management and delivery of assigned IT projects in the IS Application Services portfolio.
- Identifying the necessary budget requirements for the provision of Major Capital Project delivery in Application Services.
- Ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery that is in direct alignment with the Business Unit and overall client's long-term strategic goals.
- Adhering to client's Project Delivery methodology, and achieving the required outcomes with time spans of up to 3 - 12 months.
- Ensuring optimal deliverables through effective cross-functional accountability and authority practices.
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing processes to ensure compliance to policies, standards, and regulatory requirements and ensure mitigation of risks.
- Accountability for delivering projects in support of the Business needs. This includes effective budgeting, planning, and execution of all tasks across the project lifecycle, ie : Feasibility Initiation Design Construction Implementation Commissioning
- Ensuring appropriate communication is maintained between internal and external SMEs in the creation and acceptance of proposed solutions.
- Demonstrate a high performance, high discipline, safe, accountable, focused, innovative and achievement-oriented, easy-to-do business with a manner of working.
Your strengths include :
- Diploma or Degree in Computing Science, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems.
- 7+ years experience within IS in a variety of roles.
- 1+ years of management experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Systems Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) including custom-build and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) implementation frameworks.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and planning skills are required.
- Ability to set priorities and development objectives to ensure timely and quality project deliverables for the IS Infrastructure portfolio.
- Fully committed and accountable for completing high-quality deliverables, on time and on budget for the assigned projects within the portfolio.
- The successful candidate must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
