Term of Employment : Full-Time, Summer Term (April 29 August 31, 2024) Rate of Pay : Student Wage Band : $ per hour

Subject to CUPE 1015 Agreement) Current Location : Lloydminster Museum + Archives (LMA) & Weaver Heritage Park Duties : The Visitor Services Attendant Museum Attendant is responsible to assist in the overall operation of the facility with a focus on program development, support, and implementation.

The Visitor Services Attendant Museum Attendant will :

• Assist with reception duties.
• Process admissions, provide customer service, and respond to inquiries
• Lead interpretive tours of the galleries and outdoor displays.
• Assist with summer youth programming at the museum
• Assist with the organization, cataloguing, and storage of the Museum’s heritage collection.
• Assist in leading education programs for school groups.
• Maintain the grounds at Weaver Park, such as string trimming, gardening, weeding, and garbage removal.
• Assist in supporting public events.
• Participate in the City of Lloydminster’s Safety Management System.

Schedule : This position will work days, evenings and weekends. Qualifications : The successful candidate will have the following qualifications :

• Must be creative, outgoing, and comfortable working with small groups of children in a hands-on learning setting.
• Must be able to effectively and tactfully deal with the public.
• Must be comfortable handling cash, reconciling a cash till, and conducting daily deposits
• An interest in history is considered an asset.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather and in unheated historical buildings, and perform manual duties, such as gardening, painting, string trimming, moving equipment, and operating a City of Lloydminster fleet vehicle.

Offer will be contingent upon receiving a satisfactory criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector check prior to employment.
