We are looking for a creative director at the intersection of brand and digital commerce. If you’ve got a love for design in all its forms, from brand to packaging to digital - you might be a great fit.

We’re looking for someone who can will foster creative excellence in their team, bringing strategic mindset to the big picture.

This role can be tied to our Marks Toronto studio as hybrid or fully remote.

What you will be doing

  • Foster creative excellence across the spectrum of design - you set the bar high and keep it there.
  • Manage a team of creatives to deliver best in class content (brand and product visuals and communication), on eComm product pages or online storefronts (DTC or retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.)
  • Manage client relationships along with Design Directors
  • Consult with Client Services and Strategy partners on project proposals and timelines
  • Provide expert direction on the development of design solutions, with a focus on digital content channels and eComm
  • Shape and craft compelling presentation narratives to support and sell through creative concepts
  • Lead and mentor your team of Design experts being responsible for their growth, development and performance
  • Work with your team of Designers to ensure integrity in execution for digital, including ADA compliance
  • Uphold creative integrity and ingenuity by keeping up to date with the latest best practices in eComm
  • Develop new tools and processes in order to elevate our game in the eComm space
  • Partner with account teams to identify and target growth opportunities with new / existing clients
  • Support the development and presentation of responses to new business opportunities and RFPs
  • Create compelling, industry-leading thought leadership
  • Support culture-building initiatives which serve to unite and inspire the entire agency to care passionately about one another, our clients and our work

Experience

  • 8+ years experience in the industry; some agency experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in design or other related field
  • Experience with a range of categories including CPG, food / beverage / wine / spirits, and technology preferred
  • Knowledge of simple animation / motion techniques a plus
  • Well-rounded portfolio showcasing excellent understanding of brand building experience in front-end development for eComm a plus
  • Deep understanding of Mac OS, Adobe CS (Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); collaborative tools (XD, Miro) and Keynote a plus
