ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Supervisor, Child and Family Health, and under the guidance and direction of the Registered Dental Hygienist and / or Dentist, this position is responsible for providing dental assistant services in the Children and Youth Dental Program or Seniors Dental as outlined in the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Mandatory Health Programs and Services Guidelines, under the Health Protection and Promotion Act.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Successful completion of a Community College Dental Assisting Diploma or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Successful completion of the National Dentist Assisting Examination Board (NDAEB) exam and current certification by the Ontario Dental Assistants’ Association (ODAA).
• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
