Your new role

You are a team player thatbines a strong design orientation with an open and collaborative teamwork focused environment. You will be part of a creative team environment and be involved with an exciting range of projects.

The successful applicant will be able to grow and develop into thepany. You will be responsible for taking the lead on the design process for a variety of project types.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have a minimum 8 years’ relevant architectural and master planning design experience in the Canadian Architectural Industry (BC experience preferred).

You will have either graduated with a certified Building Technology or Architectural program in a professionally recognized institution.

You will have a proven ability to take the lead in Schematic Design and Design Development of a project. The successful candidate will have multi-disciplinary experience, specifically high-rises, townhomes, mixed-use residential and multi-family residential, both new designs and renovations, along with demonstrated expertise in building technology including wood frame, steel and concrete construction.

The successful candidate will have advanced skills in AutoCAD and Sketchup. Working knowledge of Revit would be an asset as well as having in-depth knowledge of the BC Building Code Part 3 and ASHRAE 90.

1 (understanding of NECB would be an asset). You will have an understanding of sustainable design considerations, demonstrate design sensibilities while being pragmatic.

You will have the ability to effectively coordinate with all stakeholders including : engineers, designers, and contractors and have excellentmunication skills in English, both written and oral.

You will have the ability to meet challenges head-on, manage priorities and meet tight deadlines while demonstrating flexibility and a high level of resourcefulness.

Experience or willingness to mentor junior team members would be an asset.
