Structural Steel Checker / Quality Control

About Yourself

You must have a minimum of 6 years steel detailing experience using Tekla Structures.

Potential candidates will possess the following qualities:

• Self-motivated
• Team Player
• Willingness to learn and evolve with the industry
• Knowledge of both AISC & CISC standards
• Value Quality as paramount to a projects success
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Can meet deadlines

In addition, candidates who have experience with the following move to the front of the line:

• Working with detailing teams in a multi-office environment
• Working with Global Companies
• Knowledge of Adobe and/or Bluebeam software
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook)

About The Position

You will report directly to the PM on a day to day basis. You are expected to conduct in-model reviews at the ABM & Connecting stages of a contract. You will conduct drawing checks at the Editing stage. You will also report deficiencies in work quality to the Quality Assurance Manager.

As you will be part of the Checking/QC (Quality Control) Department, your Manager will be the Quality Assurance Manager.
