Ready to design and deliver cutting‑edge security solutions? We’re looking for a passionate Security Consultant to lead major security system projects across the region and make a real impact.
What you can expect to do here
- Technical security systems design (video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, duress, real‑time locating and integration / networking of these systems)
- Physical security audits and assessments
- End‑to‑end project delivery : security systems studies, concept design narratives, schematic design, detailed design, construction documents, tender review, project management, construction administration and project closeout
- Stakeholder engagement and requirement workshops
- Technical and functional workshops with diverse stakeholders
- Represent WSP as a subject‑matter expert in security and technology
- Develop client‑facing deliverables (specifications, reports, presentations) using MS Office, Bluebeam Studio, Adobe Acrobat, RevIT, AutoCAD and more
- Interpret design and construction issue technical drawings
- Facilitate technical and project meetings across all levels
- Mentor junior team members on CAD / RevIT deliverables
- Collaborate with local and wider security and cross‑discipline teams
What you’ll bring to WSP
Minimum 5 years’ experience in security consultancyFamiliarity with alternate delivery models (Alliance, DBFM, Design Build, etc.) is an assetExperience with threat‑risk assessments and physical security is an assetExperience in networking preferredDemonstrable experience managing large security projectsCommercial acumen essentialStrong presentation skillsFlexible working approachAbility to obtain a Public Works and Government Services Canada Level 2 security clearance and work in a secure environmentWill work normal Monday‑Friday hours (8‑5) and be willing to work overtime, evenings and weekends as requiredWillingness to travel periodically for project assignmentsValid driver’s licence and vehicle for client site travelAbout WSP
