Job Description
Our client located in Ajax, Ontario, is seeking a Licensed Millwright
This will be a day shift position ( hours per week)
Position Title- Licensed Millwright
Pay rate to per hour or more (depending on experience)
Permanent role after 3 months
Starting ASAP (% on site)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assembling mechanical equipment
- Assembling stationary industrial machinery
- Coaching and instructing apprentices
- Detecting and troubleshooting irregularities and malfunctions
- Reading blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
- Repairing or replacing defective machinery parts
- Performing routine maintenance work on machinery
- Programming programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Installing machinery and equipment
- Commissioning systems and components
- Adjusting machinery and equipment to proper settings
Requirements
- Millwright License A
- Experienced as a millwright mechanic (installing, leveling, and alignment of rotary equipment, machine maintenance and service, drafting and designing).
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years experience as millwright
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Sound knowledge in GD & T and FEA.
- Skilled in building prototype machinery.
- Ability to understand and interpret blueprint readings effectively
- Result- oriented, excellent problem -solving and organizational skills, strong communication & interpersonal skills
