Job Description

Our client located in Ajax, Ontario, is seeking a Licensed Millwright

This will be a day shift position ( hours per week)

Position Title - Licensed Millwright

Pay rate to per hour or more (depending on experience)

Permanent role after 3 months

Starting ASAP (% on site)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assembling mechanical equipment

Assembling stationary industrial machinery

Coaching and instructing apprentices

Detecting and troubleshooting irregularities and malfunctions

Reading blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements

Repairing or replacing defective machinery parts

Performing routine maintenance work on machinery

Programming programmable logic controllers (PLCs)

Installing machinery and equipment

Commissioning systems and components

Adjusting machinery and equipment to proper settings

Requirements

• Millwright License A
• Experienced as a millwright mechanic (installing, leveling, and alignment of rotary equipment, machine maintenance and service, drafting and designing).
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years experience as millwright
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Sound knowledge in GD & T and FEA.
• Skilled in building prototype machinery.
• Ability to understand and interpret blueprint readings effectively
• Result- oriented, excellent problem -solving and organizational skills, strong communication & interpersonal skills
