Cloud Database Architect - Oracle, Azure SQL, PaaS Key Skills : SQL 2016 / 2019 / 2022, Oracle 10g / 12c / 19c

Role : Database SME / Architect

Location : Calgary

Experience- 8+ years

Required Skills :

1.Extensive working knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, and PaaS Databases

2.Strong PowerShell scripting skills, including automation and configuring DBMS monitoring utilities

3prehensive implementation knowledge of SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and strong backup / RPO / RTO expertise

Preferred Skills :

1.Experience installing, configuring, and designing SQL & Oracle instances, including high‑availability setup (SQL 2016 / 2019 / 2022, Oracle 10g / 12c / 19c)

2.On‑prem to Azure SQL Server migration experience

3.Performance tuning (database and application), capacity planning, and maintaining documentation / standards

The Database SME / Architect will manage Oracle, SQL Server, and PaaS databases—including installation, configuration, performance tuning, automation, and ensuring reliable backup and recovery as per RPO / RTO needs.

The role also involves handling migrations (on‑prem to cloud and cross‑platform), high‑availability solutions, SSIS / SSAS / SSRS implementations, and resolving database outages while maintaining standards and documentation.
