Registered Occupational Therapist

Overview

Join to apply for the Registered Occupational Therapist role at Arvan Rehab Group Inc. in Hamilton, Ontario. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with residents to help improve their activities of daily living.

Schedule

Part-time schedule : 5 hours bi-weekly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct OT / ADP assessments for residents per College standards, develop individualized treatment plans, and document all progress notes in the facility’s health record system.
• Complete feeding assessments for residents.
• Complete assessments for falls prevention and Least Restraints, including reviews of bed rails.
• Collaborate with the Physiotherapist and Nursing staff regarding wound management (e.g., positioning, lifting and transferring).
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to make recommendations regarding other interventions or treatments (e.g., Restorative Care, Pain Management, Contingence Management), and ensure the interventions follow best practices.
