The Opportunity
Our client, diversified, technology-driven manufacturing organization is seeking a Controller in Windsor, Ontario . Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing accurate and efficient accounting operations, maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring timely financial reporting and decision support, and managing tax compliance and tax accounting in coordination with external advisors.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, month-end and year-end closings, intercompany activity, payroll review, and ERP systems while ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial data.Maintaining strong internal controls, accounting policies, and IFRS compliance to support audits, statutory filings, and reliable financial reporting.Supporting financial reporting, management analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow modelling, and Board and audit requirements in collaboration with the Director of Finance.Managing corporate and indirect tax compliance, including income tax and HST filings, tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and coordination with external tax advisors.Driving process improvements, automation, and the use of technology and AI to enhance efficiency, data integrity, and reporting quality.Leading, mentoring, and developing the accounting team while fostering accountability, accuracy, and collaboration.The Ideal Candidate
Holds a CPA designation (preferred) with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.5+ years of progressive accounting experience.Proven leadership abilities, showcasing exceptional team-building competencies.Brings strong knowledge of IFRS, internal controls, audits, manufacturing cost accounting, job costing, and ERP systems.Demonstrates experience with corporate and indirect tax compliance and working with external tax advisors.Strong ability to understand and navigate manufacturing environments.Strong communication and organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Logic Executive Search and Workplace Solutions is dedicated to supporting opportunities that reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.
