Warehouse Technician (Shipper-Receiver)

Our client is a supplier to the global marketplace, and on their behalf we are seeking a contract Warehouse Technician (Shipper-Receiver) who will be responsible for supporting warehouse activities and parts coordination for special projects.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - Warehouse Technician (Shipper-Receiver)

• 3+ years of warehouse experience in receiving / distributing parts, preferably in a maintenance environment
• Technical post-secondary program completion (preferred)
• Heavy industry warehouse experience ideal.
• SAP knowledge, Microsoft Office programs and vendor web-based applications
• Strong interpersonal, organization, and communication skills are required.
• Ability to demonstrate confidence, flexibility, self-initiative, leadership and ability to be a team-player.
• Able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities in a fast pace environment.
• A portion of this assignment could be on a night shift - need the flexibility to be able to work days or nights (maybe)

RESPONSIBILITIES - Warehouse Technician (Shipper-Receiver)

• Support of receiving activities with incoming materials by operation of forklift to unload trucks, signing for goods, verifying packing slip against physical goods, entering information in SAP, put goods away and contact for pickup
• Provide support of filling demand by picking materials from warehouse locations, packaging, entering the good issue information into SAP and distributing as required
• Perform Management of daily bumping H2S monitors, reload into vending machines, run compliance report and contact supervisor of any missing monitors.
• Support reverse logistic process for all unused material returned to warehouse after the completion of planned work.
• Support Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, as directed, across all aspects of warehousing; including proposing procedural recommendations to the ongoing development of warehouse management activities.
