Role Overview

Teck is looking for an experienced Journeyperson Instrument Mechanic to join our team at our Trail Operations, one of the world's largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Reporting to the Group Leader, Maintenance, the Journeyperson Instrument Mechanic is responsible for the below. Please note this role does require the successful candidate to live within 100KM of Trail, British Columbia. Relocation assistance will be offered; however there is no camp or company housing.

Responsibilities

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Install, calibrate, repair and maintain field instrumentation and final control elements
• Perform in a team-oriented environment of maintenance peers

Qualifications

• Inter-Provincial Red Seal Instrumentation Mechanic Ticket (please upload copy of certification with your application)
• Knowledge of Foxboro and ABB Systems would be considered an asset
• Knowledge of Modicon PLCs and Wonderware HMI’s
• WHMIS certification
• Experience in an industrial environment
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Pay Range: CAD $51.45/hr

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
