Scope
The Intergovernmental Forum on Mining, Minerals, Metals and Sustainable Development (IGF) supports its more than 85 member countries in advancing their sustainable development goals through effective laws, policies, and regulations for the mining sector.
The IGF will launch a Mining Academy to professionalize and scale up mining skills development through a suite of world-class national and regional training programs, an e-learning platform, and a global network of academic institutions, researchers, and mining professionals. This initiative builds on IGFs regular on-demand capacity-building activities to offer a long-term, structured, and collaborative approach to building institutional and professional excellence in mining governance. It will foster a vibrant community of practice and a research and innovation hub, ensuring lasting and institutional capacity and driving forward sustainable and inclusive mining governance. The Coordinator will support the initiative and coordinate the project with internal and external stakeholders.

Position Details
Location: Hybrid, Winnipeg
Candidates must hold an appropriate work authorization for locations where they expect to be based, without any sponsorship from IISD.
Salary: The target hiring range for this position is $70,000 CAD- $87,000 CAD Annually with the ability to progress to a maximum of CAD 103,000 annually. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
