Contract Administrator – Electrical Engineering (Buildings)

Location : Ottawa, ON | Type : Full-Time, Permanent

Are you passionate about ensuring building projects run smoothly and meet the highest standards of quality? We are looking for an experienced Contract Administrator – Electrical Engineering to join our dynamic team and contribute to exciting building projects in the Ottawa region!

What You’ll Do :

  • Oversee project contracts and ensure terms are met.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor electrical installations and ensure compliance with design standards and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients to solve problems and keep projects on track.
  • Manage project documentation, including change orders, RFIs, and progress reports.
  • Ensure electrical work meets quality standards and Canadian Electrical Code requirements.

What You Bring :

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in contract administration or construction management for building projects.
  • CET, P.Eng., or similar designation is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

    Requirements

    Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • Registered and in good standing with a relevant professional body (for example P. Eng.).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the engineering industry, with a focus on managing teams, business development, and client relationship management.
