Primary Purpose : The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the organization and management of the warehouse, ensuring the smooth and safe operations regarding inventory, equipment, and procedures. The Warehouse Supervisor works closely with customers and team members, maximizing efficiency in all warehouse operations.

Essential Job Functions :

Warehouse & Service

• Oversee warehouse and service team(s) to ensure customer orders are accurately fulfilled, and the product is properly packaged prior to shipping. Shipping documents are complete and included with the product and the customer acknowledges and signs off for receipt of goods.
• Support the completion of inventory / cycle counts and ensuring the warehouse and front office areas are kept clean and tidy, product properly located and identified, aisles clean and free of clutter.
• Prioritize daily tasks and assign to the team as appropriate.
• Process air filter customization jobs, ensuring all costs are properly transacted.
• Report any low stock and over stock items as well as any identified quality issues to the necessary departments.
• Implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity while identifying areas for cost reduction.

Supervisory Responsibility : Warehouse and Service staff

Education and Work Experience : High school diploma or GED. Must have a valid class 5 license or better. Clean driving Abstract required. At least 2 years experience in a warehousing / logistics or similar role. Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Requirements include being mechanically inclined, successful completion of internal training programs, ability to manage a variety of activities simultaneously. Individual shall possess average written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail. A proven willingness and ability to make sound business judgments. Exhibits a high level of integrity, mutual respect, and employee teamwork at all times. Displays a professional image. Demonstrates a strong commitment to meeting or exceeding company expectations, goals and objectives.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required for long periods of time to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, climb, and lift, use hands to finger, handle controls; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. PPE includes : safety goggles, gloves, respirator, and CSA approved work boots hearing protection. The normal work week is up to 40 hours, but the hours will vary according to production demands. Some overtime may be required.
