Job Description
As a CFAA Technician you will learn and perform the full extent of services a CFAA offers a client, from Fire Alarm to Security installation, service, and inspection. We support your growth with FSP University and a culture of high‑quality leadership.\록
Responsibilities
- Testing, inspecting, verifying, and servicing fire alarm systems and devices.
- Perform installation, service, and inspection of fire alarm and security systems.
- Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine material requirements and procedures.
- Demonstrate systems for customers and explain details, such as causes and consequences of false alarms.
- Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.
- Follow local and national security standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have a CFAA License.
- Must be a member in good standing of UA Local 853 or be willing to become a member.
- Ability and desire to learn all facets of the CFAA Technician role in fire alarm and security.
- Prior experience with monitoring systems, emergency lighting systems, and security systems preferred.
- Siemens and/or Mircom ESD experience preferred.
- Positive attitude & strong work ethic.
- Customer‑oriented mentality.
- Ability to work within the territory and surrounding areas.
Physical Requirements
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet; working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings; stand prolonged periods; lift 35 lbs; and meet other common CFAA Technician duties.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
- Overnight travel may be required.
- Differentiate color coding of cables.
