CAD - CAM Designer (Revit Designer)
Qualifications :
- A recognized degree or diploma in an engineering field (P.Eng. qualified preferred)
- Proficiency in Autodesk software, Revit and AutoCAD, preferably practical work experience in 2D / 3D mechanical design
- Knowledge of industry / regulatory codes and standards
- Computer skills (MS Office, CAD, Windows )
- Excellent communication skills (Oral and Written)
- Excellent work ethic
Responsibilities :
- Prepares and / or develops 2D / 3D process piping, HVAC, and Structure / Architecture drawings from design concepts by senior designer / engineer within the discipline or from design documents of the front-end disciplines.
- Prepares portions of 3D Revit design model with no supervision (ability to field check and revise model / drawings accordingly)
- Reviews checks and incorporate design models, drawings and design documents prepared by others in the team.
- Prepares quantity takeoffs from the drawings and generate material list in communications with supervisor.
- Is responsible for the accuracy of 3D model, as built model and of the 2D drawings generated from 3D model.
- Works with designers in other disciplines in the overall assignment to coordinate designs.
- May develop work plans and schedules for basic designer tasks based on input and direction from supervisor in designated discipline when assigned.
- Compiles, maintains, and accesses job drawing files, records, and drawing controls, as instructed.
