We are growing across Canada and North America, so we have an opportunity for a Senior Mining Engineer to join our Calgary team as a Senior Mining Consultant . We are looking for a senior open pit mining professional, ideally with exposure to Deswik software. You will have experience in operational mine planning (design and scheduling), feasibility studies, optimisation strategies, and general mine projects.
Responsibilities
- Work with Deswik’s highly specialised mine planning software products across multiple customers, commodities, mine types and operations
- Provide extensive consulting services including mine design, production planning and scheduling, cost modelling for feasibility studies, operational optimisation projects and mine closure planning
- Deliver advanced engineering efficiency to the mining industry through customised software, consulting and training solutions
- Work alongside highly experienced engineers, geologists and software professionals
- Provide technical support for customer operations
- Mentor early-career mining engineers

Degree in Mining Engineering7+ years’ experience in open pit mining as a Mining EngineerOperational experience in site-based rolesExcellent mine planning software skills (Deswik software a distinct advantage)Demonstrated experience in feasibility studies, mine planning and optimisation strategies, schedule optimisation and schedulingA flair for consulting and managing customer relationshipsExcellent communications skills, both written and verbalA passion for innovation and a desire to grow and learnP.Eng or PE designation would be beneficial but not essentialAdditional Information
