JobDescription:
- Plan,orderandcoordinatedeliveryofallstructuralsteelmaterials withvendorstoyardbasedonschedulesforeachproject.
- Ensuringavailabilityofmaterialsatthecorrecttimeatbestpriceforeachprojectfrom thecorrectsources.
- ReviewMaterialgradesonMaterialListsandEnsurePOarecreatedtomatchas required.
- Planandorganizeandprocureallsubletitemstheshopcannotproducesuchasbent plateandheavyburningandensuringthoseitemsarriveintimepertheshopsschedule.
- Plan,organizeandcontrolthecompletesupplyofallshopconsumablesusedonaday todaybasiswithlocalvendors.
- Workingwiththemaintenancedepartmenttoprocurethepartsneededforrepairing shopequipment.
- Negotiatemajorpurchaseswithsuppliers,millsandoffshoresupplierswhile coordinatingwithuppermanagementoftheselargerpurchases.
- Overseeingandperformingannualinventoryaudits/countsofallmaterialsinstock.
- Orderingofallbolts,fastenersandhardwareforeachprojectandcoordination ofdeliveriesoftheseboltsforeachjobsitewithvendors.
- Pricingofmaterialandbuyoutitemsforjobsthecompanyisbiddingandworking closelywiththeestimatingdepartmenttogetallpricingtheyrequire forbiddingatthemostcompetitivepricing.
- UsingcompanysoftwareStrumisforthefollowingduties:
- Generatingpurchaseorders.
- Procuringandnestingfromtheadvancedbillofmaterialstoprocurewhatisrequired foreachproject.
- Creatingcutbillsfortheshoptouseforeachprojectbasedonmaterialsthathave beenpreviouslypurchasedforeachproject.
- Managinginventorylevels.
Requirements
- Understandingofalltypesofsteelusedintheindustry,ie.grades,sectionsizesin metricandimperialandbeabletoidentifyallshapeswithintheindustrymateriallibrary.
- ExcellentOrganizationSkills.
- ExcellentCommunicationSkillsbothoralandwritten.
- Thoroughunderstandingofsupplychainanddifferentprocurementstrategies andunderstandinghowtheyapplytodifferenttasks.
- Verydetailedoriented.
- ExcellentknowledgeofMicrosoftExcelandtheabilitytolearnourinhousefabrication software.
- Havinggoodknowledgeofmaterialyardsafetyandreceivingthematerial withproperlybasedonprojectschedules.
- ExcellentLeadershipskills.
- 3-5yearsexperienceinthestructuralsteelindustryinpurchasingorsalesrole.
- LegallyentitledtoworkpermanentlyforanemployerinCanada.
- FluentinverbalandwrittenEnglish.
- AvailableforonsiteroleinFraserValley,BCimmediately.
Compensationwillbesalaryplusprofitshareandrangefrom150-180kperyearbasedoncompanyperformance,pluscompanybenefitplan.
