Payroll Administrator

Our client is looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team on a contract basis in North Vancouver, British Columbia. This role involves managing payroll processes for a diverse workforce, ensuring compliance with Canadian and international payroll standards, and supporting the team during a transitional period. Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for hourly, salaried, and contract employees in compliance with Canadian and international regulations.

• Prepare and submit tax remittances, T4s, and Records of Employment (ROEs) accurately and on time.

• Perform payroll reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

• Collaborate with HR to address benefits-related payroll adjustments.

• Utilize accounting software systems to ensure efficient payroll processing.

• Support the team with payroll accounting tasks, including journal entries and account analysis.

• Assist in transitioning payroll systems as needed.

• Monitor employee headcount growth and adjust payroll processes accordingly.

• Address payroll inquiries and provide support to employees regarding payment issues.

• Maintain confidentiality and ensure data accuracy in all payroll operations.

• Proficiency in full-cycle payroll processing, including Canadian payroll regulations.
• Experience with accounting software systems and tools such as ADP Workforce Now.
• Strong knowledge of payroll functions, including tax remittances and benefits payroll.
• Ability to manage payroll for a growing workforce, including contractors and employees.
• Expertise in preparing T4s, ROEs, and other payroll-related documentation.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliation tasks.
• Familiarity with international payroll processes is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to handle complex payroll tasks.
