We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Administrator in Vancouver, British Columbia. This role will be vital within our team, responsible for processing semi-monthly payroll data, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of semi-monthly payroll data, adhering to specific deadlines.
- Maintain a comprehensive payroll calendar and effectively communicate important deadlines to stakeholders.
- Investigate and rectify any discrepancies or errors within payroll data.
- Fulfill requests for pay-related documents such as statements and verifications.
- Manage and maintain comprehensive payroll records for all employees.
- Handle year-end payroll processing for both Canadian and US employees.
- Ensure adherence to all federal, provincial, and state regulations and guidelines related to payroll.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end filings related to payroll, including tax filings and Workers Compensation.
- Manage any payroll related projects as assigned.
- Utilize skills in Ceridian, Canadian Payroll, Ceridian Payroll System, Microsoft Excel, New Hire Orientations, Terminations, and Process Payroll to effectively complete all tasks.
- Possess a minimum of one year of experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role
- Proficiency in using Ceridian and the Ceridian Payroll System
- Knowledge of Canadian Payroll procedures and regulations
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data processing and analysis
- Experience in conducting New Hire Orientations and managing Terminations
- Demonstrated ability to process payroll accurately and efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
