About The Role

Terus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is seeking a Ready-Mix Truck Driver in Nelson, BC (West Kootenays).

Main Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Ready-Mix Truck.
• Complete driving assignments in a timely and safe manner.
• Lift and move product, including strenuous labour, when required.
• Work extended hours and irregular days with irregular breaks.
• Maintain necessary logs, driving records and DOT certifications.
• Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicle.
• Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform a variety of tasks as needed or required when not delivering concrete.
• Be willing to travel and work out of town occasionally when required or necessary.

Compensation Data

This is a unionized position. During the three‑month probationary period, the hourly wage is 85% of the standard rate, which equates to $31.02 / hour. Upon successful completion of probation, the wage increases to the full rate of $36.49 / hour.
