The Opportunity

As Mundoro Capital continues to expand its global operations, we are looking for an Accountant to support the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of our financial reporting and accounting processes.
Reporting to the Controller and the CFO, you will play a key role in day-to-day accounting operations while gaining exposure to consolidated financial reporting, audits, and process improvement initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience across multiple areas of accounting and the opportunity to develop your skills as the company scales. This is a full-time, remote position, and candidates must be located in Canada.
What You’ll Do : Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS for the parent company and US subsidiaries.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements for management review.
- Process and review journal entries to ensure all business transactions are properly recorded.
- Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, vendor statements, credit cards, and intercompany accounts, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Contribute to consolidation materials, including foreign exchange calculations and other required financial adjustments.
Transaction Processing & Operational Accounting
Oversee the processing and verification of invoices, ensuring timely approval and payment with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.Manage and audit employee expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies and proper documentation.Supervise the entry and reconciliation of credit card transactions and receipts.Administer payroll processes with accuracy and compliance, ensuring payroll is on time.Support the administration of the employee management system via Zoho People.Audit, Compliance & Controls
Support year-end audit preparation by gathering documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.Assist with tax filings and regulatory compliance efforts in collaboration with the Controller and CFO.Support the maintenance of internal controls and accurate financial documentation.Analysis & Process Improvement

What You Bring : Qualifications & Experience
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional accounting designation (CPA) completed or in progress (preferred).3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including financial reporting and reconciliations.Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles.Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets) and Zoho People.Experience supporting a public company, the natural resource sector, or Canadian corporate taxation is a strong asset.Who You Are : Personal Attributes
