Job description

Shape the next generation of evidence-based RMTs. Vicars School is seeking a part-time Instructor to join our Edmonton campus. This role is ideal for an experienced Registered Massage Therapist passionate about adult education, evidence-informed practice, and forward-thinking teaching.

Qualifications

Registered Massage Therapist in good standing with an Alberta association
Minimum 3 years clinical experience
Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification
Assets : Adult education experience (e.g., mentorship, preceptorship, workshop facilitation), familiarity with national curriculum standards

Responsibilities

Deliver classroom, lab, and in-class clinic instruction using approved curriculum materials.

Plan, prepare, and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning styles and needs.

Facilitate student-centered learning, providing constructive feedback and mentorship.

Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, practical exams, and clinic assessments.

Maintainaccuratestudent records, including attendance, grades, and progress notes.

Collaborate with faculty and curriculum department to enhance course content and teaching strategies.

Support program initiatives, including student events, outreach activities, and clinical supervision.

Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and program review activities.

Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and professional learning environment.

Time Commitment : Varies monthly based on class schedules, clinic rotations, and program needs.

Compensation : Competitive daily rate, inclusive of lesson planning, marking, and preparation.

Additional : Paid faculty meetings and training outside class days.

Start Date : Immediately.
