Job Summary :
We are looking for a Junior AV Installer to perform AV installation. Tasks include pulling cable, installing connectors, terminating cable ends, mounting speakers, projectors and screens.
This is a Junior Installer position and will be based out of our Calgary branch, applicants with all levels of experience may apply.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Work under guidance from Senior and Lead technicians on AV projects
- Perform cable pulls, solder, crimp and terminate audio, video and network cables
- Hang monitors, projectors, mics, speakers on wall and ceiling using anchors, Unistrut and mounts (guidance / training provided)
- Review Bill of Materials, Drawings, Project Scope and prepare for site activities
- Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
- Load and unload AV equipment at shop and worksite
- Occasionally work overtime as needed (time in lieu) to meet promises to clients
- Must be willing to work out of town, overnight travel may be required from time to time

Must be organized and detail orientedAbility to work and think independently to meet deadlinesAbility to operate hand and power tools (drill)Knowledge of low voltage systems and signal flow for audio, video and controlTroubleshooting, quality checks, servicing abilities, problem solving abilitiesMust be able to lift 50lbs and work on ladders and liftsEducation and / or Experience :
Any education in Electronics or related field preferredAny Networking / IT background preferredSafety :
