Job Title : Warehouse Worker

Job Description

The warehouse worker will load products onto conveyors for sorting, unload them, and package them into skids for customer shipment.

Skids will then be moved using pallet jacks to the shipping door. The worker can expect to lift up to 40lbs with assistance for heavier freight.

General warehouse cleaning and organizational duties are also required.

Responsibilities

• Load products onto conveyors for sorting
• Unload products from conveyors and package into skids for shipment
• Build and wrap skids
• Move skids using pallet jacks to the shipping door
• Lift up to 40lbs with assistance for heavier loads
• Perform general warehouse cleaning and organizational duties
• Use a Motorola WMS scanning system
• Assist the lead hand in organizing freight before 4pm if showing interest and initiative

Essential Skills

• Warehouse experience
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Strong record of attendance
• Ability to read and sort by code
• Ability to lift 50lbs

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with RF scanners / WMS
• Pallet jack experience
• Own vehicle (location is transit accessible but requires a small walk)
• Any warehouse experience in receiving, put-away, picking, shipping

Work Environment

Work hours are noon to 8 : 30pm with overtime as required. The warehouse is transit accessible, though a small walk is needed to reach it.

You will work on a team of around three people to organize and build skids for shipment. The facility is very clean and organized, with most products moved out by the next morning.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NW Edmonton, Alberta.
