Role
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with extensive experience in Finance Systems and the Insurance industry , particularly in Property and Casualty (P&C) . The role involves analyzing business requirements, developing functional specifications, and ensuring compliance with insurance accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and document business requirements for Finance systems.
- Conduct gap analysis and develop functional specifications for system changes.
- Ensure compliance with insurance accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure business processes align with IFRS17, OFSI, GISA, and Facility Association standards.
- Apply knowledge of Guidewire principles (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) in system design.
- Work with Mainframe constructs and understand their application in Finance systems.
- Understand ETL processes and their role in data processing.
- Write and optimize SQL scripts for data extraction and analysis.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation for management and stakeholders.
- Hands-on BA responsibilities : writing requirements, creating user stories, process mapping, data modeling, maintaining data dictionaries, and functional documentation.
- Use tools such as Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word to communicate findings and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support problem-solving and decision-making initiatives.
Required Skills / Qualifications
Experience : 8–10 years as a Business Analyst in Finance Systems.Strong understanding of insurance accounting principles and practices .Extensive experience in the Property & Casualty insurance domain .Familiarity with insurance regulations and standards , especially IFRS17, OFSI, GISA, and Facility Association.Knowledge of Guidewire systems (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).Understanding of Mainframe constructs in Finance systems.Proficient in SQL scripting , ETL concepts, and data analysis.Expertise in process mapping, data modeling, and maintaining data dictionaries .Strong proficiency in Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word .Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills .Desirable Skills
Experience working on system upgrades, implementations, or integrations within insurance finance systems.Familiarity with reporting tools for management dashboards.Skills
