Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reports to support decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff to ensure high performance.
- Review contract accounting for accuracy and compliance with revenue recognition policies.
- Manage treasury functions, ensuring sufficient funds and oversight of bank accounts.
- Lead internal and external audit preparation, including fieldwork and schedules.
- Drive improvements in financial reporting and processes.
- Ensure SOX compliance and collaborate with internal audit and corporate accounting.
- Review balance sheet and P&L reconciliations for reporting accuracy.
- Oversee timely submission of R&D Tax claims in coordination with external accountants and SLT.
- Provide daily operational support, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Lead ad-hoc projects and drive change initiatives.
- Champion process enhancements, including automation, to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain strong financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure integrity.
Required Skills and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.Minimum of 6 years' relevant experience, with a CPA designation.Proven leadership skills, with experience mentoring an accounting team.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.In-depth knowledge of balance sheets and income statements.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Excellent communication skills (English & French proficiency).Experience with Oracle SmartView is an asset.Prior Aerospace and Defence industry experience preferred.Additional Requirements :
