Dispatch (Night Shift)
Bison Transport Inc. is looking for a well‑organized, excellent communicator to manage all night‑shift dispatch activities for City and Highway fleets. The role is primarily focused on City and Highway dispatch.
The Night Operations staff must display sound judgment, involve other operations staff when necessary, and resolve non‑routine or time‑sensitive issues after regular business hours. Priority is given to emergencies, non‑routine, and routine situations. Key responsibilities include Dispatch, Planning, and Customer Service.
- Identify and resolve all non‑routine and time‑sensitive issues that occur after regular business hours, prioritizing events by emergency, non‑routine, and routine.
- Manage after‑hours satellite, telephone, and in‑person communications for multiple city and highway fleets.
- Handle all incoming inquiries and deliver excellent customer service according to company standards.
- Report and document all after‑hours activity for customer service, planning, and driver‑related issues, and forward information to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
Dispatch experience in a similar work environment.Dedicated experience providing customer service, with strong organizational and time‑management skills.Demonstrated attention to detail, communication, problem‑solving, and planning abilities.Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Proven analytical and critical‑thinking skills.Strong problem‑solving abilities.Schedule
This position follows a modified shift schedule : Thursday to Saturday, and alternating Wednesdays (every other week). Hours of work are 18 : 00 – 06 : 00 MST.
