Customer Service Associate
Job Summary : This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all clients and guests of The Apple Place, providing a positive customer experience through knowledge of products, maintaining a clean and organized storefront, and conducting efficient and accurate customer transactions.
This role requires an individual who is humble, driven, and solutions oriented. Humble Employees that are team players and are respectful of others and the job at hand.

They are aware, act appropriately, ask good questions, and listen to understand. Role and Accountability : Maintain a visually appealing storefront that highlights and promotes local products.
Assist customers and fulfill orders in person, over the phone, via e-mail or through social media requests. Operate a Point-of-Sale system with an eye for inventory and financial accuracy.
Package and label products safely and accurately. Receive supply orders, confirm shipments, and put stock away promptly.
Design and assemble custom-order gift baskets. Create and upload marketing content to social media feeds, responding to comments, questions, and customer engagement in a manner that upholds and represents the company’s core values.
Research, source, and recommend products that meet The Apple Place’s mission to support and stock local products. Report problems, concerns, and ideas to the Retail Manager with solutions.
Assist with year-end inventory counts. Attend external community events, representing the store and brand. Complete opening or closing procedures, including opening / securing the store, balancing daily finance counts and reports, and completing daily orders and restocks.
Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Knowledgeable / willing to learn about apples to be able to make recommendations to customers.
Ability to work point of sale system (training will be provided) Effective communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills.
Problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented approach. Ability to work well in a team environment. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining store cleanliness.
Willingness to adapt to changing customer needs and store promotions Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that involve lifting (up to 40lbs), bending, and carrying items.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. Education and Experience : Customer service experience.
Experience with cash handling and using a Point-of-Sale system is an asset. Previous experience in a retail or food service environment is beneficial.
