Role Overview

We are an in‑house estimator position for a reputable commercial & industrial painting company. The estimator keeps excellent contact with current and prospective customers, influencing satisfaction and working closely with fellow employees. The role requires tact, professionalism and strong customer focus.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Follow systems and procedures outlined in company manuals.
• Participate as a key team player by supporting operations as needed.
• Communicate effectively with the General Manager, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee that sales objectives and customer objectives are met.
• Process customer orders in a courteous, efficient, and timely manner.
• Organize schedule and workflow to meet customer deadlines.
• Prepare estimates for all jobs based on customer specifications and General Manager input.
• Price all production work using proven industry standards and estimate non‑standard work in conjunction with the General Manager.
• Effectively present and discuss the products and services of the company.
• Manage telephone calls professionally, efficiently and with good communication skills.
• Attend to customer complaints and concerns immediately and facilitate satisfactory resolution.
• Support customer sales through service, education, and effective problem‑solving, involving appropriate team members as needed.
• Support the strategic sales plan and marketing strategies outlined by the General Manager and facilitate joint marketing calls where applicable.
• Maintain pricing and develop knowledge of best suppliers and competitive prices.
• Coordinate with management on jobs and maintain company and industry‑specific processes.
• Research and recommend cost‑saving potential to management.
