Job description

Tasks

  • Plan short-term production, manage databases, evaluate manufacturing capacity and optimize material flow.
  • Contribute to the achievement of objectives in accordance with the company's policies and values.
  • Examine and evaluate the scope of the work in order to determine the priorities, work sequences and resources necessary for their completion.
  • Solicit opinions from specialized employees to establish the required time and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate possible shutdowns with operations by monitoring planned shutdowns.
  • Collaborate with operational teams and technical staff to develop and follow the weekly planning calendar.
  • Gather and analyze production performance indicators, such as equipment failures, backlog and meeting deadlines.
  • Perform all other related tasks.

    • Job requirements

  • University training in mechanical engineering or any other related field.
  • Minimum 5 years and more of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in steel processing.
  • Mastery of the fundamental principles of mechanics.
  • Be familiar with the use of Microsoft Project.
  • Fluency in French and English is a welcome advantage.
