Tasks
- Plan short-term production, manage databases, evaluate manufacturing capacity and optimize material flow.
- Contribute to the achievement of objectives in accordance with the company's policies and values.
- Examine and evaluate the scope of the work in order to determine the priorities, work sequences and resources necessary for their completion.
- Solicit opinions from specialized employees to establish the required time and cost estimates.
- Coordinate possible shutdowns with operations by monitoring planned shutdowns.
- Collaborate with operational teams and technical staff to develop and follow the weekly planning calendar.
- Gather and analyze production performance indicators, such as equipment failures, backlog and meeting deadlines.
- Perform all other related tasks.

Job requirements
- University training in mechanical engineering or any other related field.
- Minimum 5 years and more of experience in a similar position.
- Experience in steel processing.
- Mastery of the fundamental principles of mechanics.
- Be familiar with the use of Microsoft Project.
- Fluency in French and English is a welcome advantage.
