Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

AAA Canada is looking for an experienced Production Planner to join our team. The Planner will coordinate and optimize planning and production, while maintaining effective relationships with internal and external partners, in accordance with company policies and established quality standards

Responsibilities

  • Program tasks for production personnel in the system.
  • Ensure that production plans are met in relation to the production line dedicated to the Bus, Truck, Electrical, Sub-Assembly, Battery and Prototype sites.
  • Maintain planning management according to the general production schedule and identify risks to delivery deadlines and propose solutions.
  • Work with the company's Program Management Office to plan new product launches to master schedule.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations departments to ensure optimal master schedule planning based on suppliers and receipt of materials.
  • Optimize and control our internal material flow.
  • Coordinate the timely receipt of parts kits on our assembly lines.
  • Implement and ensure a performance management process using key performance indicators.
  • Manage the department's budget, monitoring and optimizing costs.
  • Maintain quality relationships with internal and external partners (3PL);
  • Apply and comply with company policies and quality system.
  • Implement best practices for physical control of raw materials in order to maximize the efficiency of department operations, optimize processes and material resources, and reduce costs.
  • Monitor daily order reports.
  • Manage raw material storage space.
  • Identify sources of waste and provide permanent solutions.

Skills and qualifications

  • Equivalent 4 years high school plus
  • Job experience for 3 to 5 years.
  • You have experience in the field of transportation
  • You demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You know the SAP software & MS Office very well, including MS Project, PowerPoint and Excel, Catia V5.
  • You are a good team player with strong communication skills, which ensures the interface with the many business partners involved.
  • You need to demonstrate superior organizational and leadership skills and you need to be comfortable in a dynamic and changing work environment.
  • Required experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
