Teladoc Health’s summer internship program allows students to gain hands-on experience by applying their academic curriculum to real-world situations.

We are looking for a skilled, motivated, and innovative people to join our 2024 EMERGE Summer Internship Program. Interns will receive valuable training and mentoring to support their professional growth, develop marketable skills, and learn about Teladoc Health’s business and the healthcare industry.

This is a paid opportunity, in which interns will be assigned projects and tasks relevant to Teladoc Health’s current business needs.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and engaged Content Creation Intern to join our Marketing team. This role is ideal for a Journalism, Marketing or Communications student passionate about storytelling and content creation.

This role is for someone with knowledge of indigenous protocols, with ability to speak indigenous language considered an asset.

We require the successful candidate to be returning to their program in September 2024 to be eligible.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects and gain hands-on marketing and communications experience in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct on-site interviews and documentary-style filming. Develop and produce a variety of promotional multi-media content including Digital and print sales collateral, blog posts and articles, videos and vlogs, social media posts and interactive web content.
  • With the help of Marketing Team, edit and refine content, applying best practices in graphic design, videography, and storytelling to enhance the visual appeal and impact of each project.
  • Work closely with Indigenous Elders and community members, respecting and incorporating Indigenous protocols and perspectives into content creation, along with Teladoc Health partners.
  • Participate in research activities as needed, facilitating knowledge exchange between Indigenous communities and wider audiences.
  • Participate in a collaborative team-based project with other Teladoc Health interns, and present project to senior leaders at the end of the contract.

Other responsibilities, as requested by the manager.

Requirements :

  • Knowledge of Indigenous protocols and cultural sensitivity, with experience working or studying in an Indigenous environment.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous protocols and be prepared to work with Elders and communities.
  • Ability to speak an Indigenous language would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), with design skills (Canva, Adobe suite) considered an asset.
  • Must have working knowledge of MS word and Outlook.
  • Strong storytelling abilities with a good eye for visual content creation.
  • Proficient in creating and editing video and written content.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with a range of people, including clients, community members, and Elders.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous protocols and cultural sensitivity, with experience working in an Indigenous environment.
  • Ability to speak an Indigenous language is considered an asset.
