Job Summary
CIMT College is looking for an Admissions Advisor for immediate hire. Experience in the Ontario Career College or Education sector will be considered an asset
Admissions Advisors are responsible for recruiting and enrolling students for various Vocational programs and Non-Vocational courses by converting leads received by CIMT College.
As an Admissions Advisor for CIMT College, you are expected to proactively and professionally engage with leads, and help them achieve their educational and career goals
Admissions Advisors must meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance targets as set by the Supervisor. Admissions Advisors have the opportunity to earn very high uncapped monthly commissions through superior monthly performance.
Education
High School Diploma or Higher
Job Requirements
- 1+ years’ work experience in a college or university as an Admissions Advisor. Alternatively 2+ years of proven sales experience working with lead conversion and recruitment.
- Proven track record in sales, meeting targets, and demonstrating relationship building through follow up and networking
- Ability to work independently to meet sales and enrolment quotas and as part of a college team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, Gmail and Google Account
- Knowledge of working on CRM
- Knowledge Second Career Application, OSAP and other funding options would be an asset

- Product Knowledge training would be ongoing and admissions advisor need to constantly improve in this area.
Admissions Advisors need to be :
- Flexible and available according to the campus schedule, including evenings and weekend shifts
- Adhere to all CIMT College Policies and Procedures Comply with all regulatory standards as set out by the Ministry of Training for Colleges and Universities and OCC Act 2005
Please note :
Salary will increase with targets being consistently met. Preference would be given to candidates with sales / tele sales experience and having a background in IT, Telecommunications or related.

You will play a crucial role in assisting prospective students throughout the admissions process and will serve as a primary point of contact for individuals interested in enrolling in our programs, guiding them through the application process, providing information about our programs and services, and ensuring a smooth transition into their chosen program.
Key Responsibilities :
- Student Consultation : Conduct consultations with prospective students to understand their educational goals, career aspirations, and program interests.
- Information Provision : Provide detailed information about CIMT College's programs, including curriculum, admission requirements, tuition fees, financial aid options, and student support services.
- Admissions Assistance : Assist students with the completion of application forms, ensuring accuracy and completeness of required documentation.
- Admissions Criteria Evaluation : Evaluate applicants' qualifications and eligibility for admission based on established criteria and guidelines.
- Application Processing : Process student applications efficiently and accurately, including data entry and documentation management.
- Follow-Up Communication : Maintain regular communication with applicants to provide updates on their application status, address inquiries, and offer support as needed.
- Conversion Management : Employ effective sales techniques to convert inquiries into enrolled students, meeting or exceeding enrollment targets.
- Relationship Building : Cultivate positive relationships with prospective students, alumni, and external stakeholders to promote CIMT College and enhance the admissions experience.
- Event Participation : Represent CIMT College at recruitment events, career fairs, and other outreach activities to attract prospective students and promote awareness of our programs.
- Compliance and Ethics : Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, ethical guidelines, and college policies in all admissions activities.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in college admissions, student recruitment, or a related field. Experience in an Ontario college setting is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service and sales abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of educational programs, admissions processes, and relevant regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and CRM software
