Director, Software Engineering – Card Platform & Experiences

Overview

We are looking to hire a Director to lead the Card Platform and Experiences team, focusing on building card-related capabilities to grow and scale the business.

What You’ll Do

• Set the vision for the Card Experiences and Platform team at affirm. Hire world‑class full‑stack engineers to execute on that vision.
• Take ownership of core engineering and business outcomes across our verticals – Card experiences, Card services Platform, and Card Loan platform.
• Work closely with product and business leadership to drive key efforts to build card‑related capabilities.
• Balance product expansion with platform investments and scale the platform for high scale and diverse use cases.
• Run a robust development lifecycle establishing a culture of operational excellence while experimenting and failing fast.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners outside engineering, including product, analytics, risk, servicing, legal, and compliance.

Base Pay Grade - T

Equity Grade - 11

Base pay is part of a total compensation package including monthly stipends for health, wellness, tech spending, and benefits such as 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental, and vision for you and your dependents. Employees may be eligible for equity rewards offered by affirm Holdings, Inc. (parent company).

CAN base pay range per year : $238,000 - $298,000

Work Environment

Affirm is a remote‑first company. Most roles are remote and can be performed anywhere within the country of employment. Occasional onsite work may be required for some roles.
