Job descriptionProvide optoelectronics leadership for the modeling, design, characterization, testing and qualification of high-speed, high-density optical transceivers Lead optical transceiver design projects Define product specifications and requirements Design, model, procure and build optical transceivers Work with process and test engineers to ensure alignment of designs with process and test capabilities Source required components and work with relevant suppliers Support prototype construction and engineering design verification to ensure compliance with requirements Work on optical issues with other subsystems Perform data analysis and reporting Design and conduct experiments as required to support new product development efforts Perform root cause failure analysis Support product NPI and its implementation in manufacturing 10+ years of relevant experience Strong analytical skills to meet challenges in a wide range of domain such as optics, electronics, high frequency, signal integrity, opto-electronic testing Must be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve result Bilingualism (English and French) Must be a Canadian Citizen
Our client, a leader in fiber optics is currently seeking an Optoelectronics Engineer in the Montreal area.
The Optoelectronics Engineer will work with the design team and operational team to design, analyze, document and support the development effort of optical transceiver products throughout the product life cycle.
