The company, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Delivery Lead / Solutions Architect to lead a Microsoft 365 implementation for a public-sector organization based in New Westminster, BC.This engagement requires a senior consultant to provide overall technical leadership across Microsoft 365, including identity, security, collaboration, migration coordination, and adoption, while working closely with a dedicated Microsoft Exchange specialist responsible for hands-on Hybrid Exchange execution.This role is ideal for a consultant who excels at owning delivery across multiple workstreams and operating within formal governance, security, and approval frameworks typical of regulated public-sector environments. Key Responsibilities
- Act as the overall technical delivery lead for a multi-phase Microsoft 365 implementation in a highly secure public-sector environment.
- Lead delivery across all Microsoft 365 components excluding hands-on Microsoft Exchange execution.
- Work in close collaboration with a Microsoft Exchange specialist to coordinate sequencing and dependencies, validate Hybrid Exchange readiness and outcomes, and ensure alignment with overall program objectives.
- Provide technical leadership across Microsoft 365 tenant configuration and governance, identity and access management using Entra ID / Azure AD, directory synchronization and Single Sign-On, Conditional Access, role-based access control, privileged access management (PIM / PAM), Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Purview (information protection, records management, DLP, sensitivity labels), andMicrosoft Defender for Office 365
- Experience with migration planning, pilot execution, phased cutover coordination, adoption, training, and operational transition.
- Lead technical workshops, design reviews, validation sessions, and acceptance walkthroughs with stakeholders.
- Own technical sequencing, readiness gates, and dependency management across the engagement.
- Ensure delivery aligns to fixed-price, milestone-based acceptance criteria.
- Review and contribute to technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience leading Microsoft 365 implementations in enterprise environments.Strong architectural and delivery experience across Microsoft 365 tenant configuration, Entra ID / Azure AD, identity lifecycle management, directory synchronization, Conditional Access, role-based access control, and privileged access controls.Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities, including Microsoft Purview (information protection, records management, data loss prevention, and sensitivity labels) and Microsoft Defender for Office 365.Hands-on and leadership-level experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive, including governance and restricted enablement in enterprise environments.Experience with application deployment and management using Microsoft Intune and experience with SCCM application delivery and integration considerations.Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Hybrid Exchange sufficient to assess readiness and risk and coordinate effectively with Exchange specialists.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage executive and technical audiences.Eligible for enhanced background and security screening.Ability and willingness to work frequently onsite in New Westminster, BC.
