Hays Construction & Development is partnered with our locally owned General Contractor client to recruit for an Assistant Project Manager / Estimator to join their growing team! In business for many, many years, they offer a professional working environment in a close-knit team.

Specializing in Office Interiors Fit Up / Tenant Improvement work in Ottawa, you will juggle many small projects to ensure client satisfaction.

Your new role

As the Assistant Project Manager / Estimator, you will work to grow the business by obtaining more business and projects.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will epass Estimating and Tender submissions, change order pricing, updating the database with current pricing and projects.

You will also develop project budgets and assist with planning and scheduling of projects. You will review drawings and create scopes of work and conduct tender reviewspared to scopes of work.

Coordinate with subtrades and suppliers and liaise with outside and internal stakeholders in each project.

What you'll need to succeed

For this role you should have excellent knowledge of the local trades and suppliers and have 3 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in a similar GC environment, fit ups and tenant improvements.

Your post-secondary education should be in Construction or Engineering and you must have top-notch IT skills; Sage 100, Sage 300, Master Builder or Timberline.

You should have greatmunication and interpersonal skills, bilingualism in French and English and be eligible for Federalernment security clearance is an asset.
