Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical or Instrumentation Technician with a strong background in maintenance and construction.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of our electrical and instrumentation systems, and will contribute to the construction and installation of new systems as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the construction, installation, and commissioning of new electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
- Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Expectations
- Operating a company vehicle offroad on rugged terrain in changing conditions
- Good knowledge of process systems in regards to conventional oil & gas
- Working in a strong team work environment
- Physical demands include : lifting and moving material and equipment weighing up to 50lbs and regular exposure to oil and gas well site or plant environments
- Travels to and from work sites, travel is required, hotel or camp work is required
Qualifications
Qualifications / Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in electrical / instrumentation preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an electrician / instrumentation technician in an industrial or construction setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation principles, and industrial controls.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation issues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- All safety tickets (H2S, First Aid, CSO, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license
Additional Information
Please note that travel out of town and camp work is required.
