JobSummary

TheFacilities Technician is responsible for the implementation and adherence ofbest practices around facility maintenance at our various sites and is a full-timeposition. This role is responsible for conducting and coordinating routine andnon-routine maintenance activities for all Phoenix facilities and providesoversight to safety and efficiently performs work activities. It handles various areas of businessrepair and aids in the implementation of maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities :

Facilities Maintenance

  • Promotes andmaintains a welcoming environment; for residents, guests and staff maintaininga positive demeanor when interacting with others
  • Ensures thatour facilities are maintained to a high standard of care ensuring we meet licensingand safety standards.
  • Provides overall maintenance repairsand project coordination to ensure that work is planned and executed safely andefficiently.
  • Works with the supervisor and managementteams to document and align process for outside services.
  • Liaises with contractors for sitework that are beyond the scope of the Phoenix maintenance team.
  • Oversees the development of maintenance procedures. Makes recommendations for the development of new and / or modifications to existing procedures.
  • Performs on-site work scoping andestimating for routine and non-routine maintenance activities
  • Assists in implementing improvementsto facility performance and equipment maintenance strategies.
  • Assists in turnaround planning and scheduling as required.
  • Acts as on-site management representative and liaison when management team is off site.
  • Responds to maintenance and repair requests, emergency or otherwise
  • Proactively inspect grounds, facilities, and equipment to determine if repairs or preventive maintenance is required
  • Responds toand plans for completion of maintenance tasks as requested by their manager
  • Detects,identifies and repairs building deficiencies, in coordination with Manager
  • Completessafety checks and conducts routine maintenance on systems and equipment,including maintaining records of this work
  • Performs general maintenance task for the buildings, such as painting, power washing, major clean ups, event setup / take down
  • Assists with administrative tasks including but not limited to maintaining inventory system, filing, records keeping, and purchasing system
  • Other duties that may be assigned

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of 1-2 yearpost-secondary education in a Facilities Technician program.
  • Driver’s License : Class 5license accompanied by suitable drivers abstract.
  • First Aid Certification
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role

  • Computer : proficient in MS Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet and databasemanagement
  • Superiortime management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task

  • Salary for this role is between$26.14 to $27.86 per hour.
