Job Description :
Thepurpose of the Industrial Painter is to perform masking andpainting operations for all displacers top mounting controls andmechanical and electronic units.
Working at the Paint Booth or Shopfloor to complete assigned duties as scheduled by the productionsystem.
Surface tobe painted must be dry and clean of rust scale welding flux or slagspatter grease oily film highgloss sheen and dirt which mightinterfere with paint adhesion.
Apply masking tape over parts and plug all openings thatare not to be coated.
Thin and / or mix paint per instructions on the ProductSpecification Sheet.
Select and mixes coating liquid to produce the desiredcolor according to specifications using a paddle or mechanicalmixer.
Clean greaseand dirt from the product using materials such as lacquer thinneror turpentine.
Remove any oil and dirt that may have been collectedsince cleaning.
Hangunits on racks in a safe manner to dry.
Move completed stock orders to the properinspection area.
Clean the spray gun paint fixtures and paint booth areaat the end of each shift.
Change filters when necessary.
Maintain spray guns in proper working orderand the cleanliness of the work area.
Store paints and thinners in proper safetycabinet.
NotifySupervisor or Lead Person when reorder point on the paintingmaterials and supply are reached.
Other duties may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION
High school degree or equivalent.
Ability to read andwrite English.
Ability to add subtracts multiply and divide in allunits of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals
Ability to use thefollowing : Power tools hand tools standard mechanical andelectrical tools.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry outinstructions furnished in written oral or diagram form.
Ability to deal withproblems involving several concrete variables in standardizedsituations.
Proficient with officerelated software Microsoft Officepreferred.
Abilityto use mix and spray standard client paints according toinstructions and specifications meeting all standards that apply.
