310T Truck Transport Mechanic - $37 - $40 per hour North Winnipeg

Do you confident in your abilities to perform electrical and mechanical diagnostics as well as swapping clutches, transmissions, and differentials?

If so, I'd love to hear from you! A local automotive machine shop that specializes in out-of-warranty work and the remanufacturing of brake and powertrain components is looking for an experienced 310T Truck & Transport mechanic to join their Service Team.

Permanent Position

Schedule : Monday to Friday daytime 8am - 430pm

Salary : $40 per hour

Responsibilities

As a ticketed Truck and Transport Mechanic, a normal day would include :

• Participate in tool box talks to start the day
• Reviewing open work orders
• Assisting Jr Techs to increase efficiency and workflow
• Performing vehicle inspections to identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot more complex problems
• Carry out routine preventative and out-of-warranty corrective maintenance
• Complete safety inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety regulations
• Maintain accurate records of all services performed
• Utilizing strong communication skills to explain vehicle issues to other mechanics and customers

Qualifications

Qualifications :

• 310T Truck and Transport journeyman ticket
• Own toolbox
• Able to perform safeties
• Class 1 driver license is a strong asset
• Ability to left 60lbs safely
• Ability to work as a team or individual
• Need to be legally able to work in Canada
