Warehouse Stores Attendant

Job Description

What you will be doing :

Reporting to the Inventory Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Assisting all departments in the distribution of supplies and products while accounting for all goods from food stores and receiving areas.
• Unloading food & beverage products from delivery trucks daily.
• Ensure all products received are properly stored, while maintaining rotation and storage areas, fridges & freezers.
• Working closely with the Chef & Exec Sous Chef to maintain product freshness and rotation (FIFO).
• Participation in monthly inventory counts & daily spot checks.
• Unload merchandise from delivery trucks and assist loading of the hotels truck.
• Familiarity of merchandise used within the hotel
• Daily cleaning of storage areas, fridges & freezers.
• Maintain personal physical health & safety awareness in moving and lifting stock
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives
• Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
• Other reasonable duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include :

• Self motivated, with the ability to work with little supervision
• Food & Beverage knowledge (Meats, Produce, Dry Goods, Etc.) an asset.
• Computer knowledge and experience with windows based applications
• Organizational and communication skills
• Previous warehouse experience an asset
• Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of hotel and department operations an asset
• Must be physically capable of meeting demands of the position : standing, walking, bending, lifting 80lbs and pushing carts ranging from 500lbs 1,000lbs
