Morrison Hershfield's Transportation Division provides planning, design and construction administration services for roadway, highway, transit / rail, bridge and related projects. We are currently seeking a Junior Inspector to conduct field work to complement our transportation team. The Junior Inspector will play a lead role in the delivery of assignments primarily for public sector clients. Due to expanding business opportunities in Ontario and elsewhere within the company, this position offers growth in the areas of technical / professional development and project management.

Responsibilities :

• Carries out inspection activities to ensure conformance
• Conducts site surveys, obtaining relevant information, equipment and materials
• Searches for physical survey evidence (building ties, monuments, fences, etc.) and determines whether or not existing survey evidence suffices
• Obtains additional survey evidence as necessary and determines when enough information has been obtained
• Analyzes situations or data from which answers are easily obtained using standard procedure and practice
• Assists to compile field data in report form for review of project designer
