Position Responsibilities MAINTENANCE MECHANIC MILLWRIGHT
Follow safety procedures and comply with all related safety and security regulations. Take action to correct unsafe work habits.
Operate equipment safely. Report and / or correct unsafe work conditions as appropriate.
Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly condition in accordance with established housekeeping standards.
Repairs machinery and equipment as required.
Adjust production machinery and equipment to provide safe and efficient operation.
Troubleshoot and diagnose potential mechanical problems and breakdowns.
Accountability
Completion of assigned PMs by scheduled date.
Keep production equipment in good working condition.
Keep machine downtime to a minimum.
Organizational Relationship
Reports to Maintenance Supervisor.
No supervision of others.
Internal contacts plant-wide; no external contacts required.
Guidance and Direction Received
Priorities set by supervisor.
Works with minimal supervision.
Reference to equipment manuals for set-up and operation.
Job Requirements
Knowledge Required
Grade 12 or equivalent technical training.
Ontario Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic Millwright.
Ability to read blueprints.
Four year's related experience.
Problem Solving
Requires use of judgement to plan and perform repair procedures using standard methods and equipment.
Additional Note or Comments
Sometimes exposed to dirt, heat, cold, noise, water and oil.
Sustained physical effort with average weight materials. Occasionally handles heavy material.
