Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing Balance Sheet and P & L;
- Bookkeeping general ledger transactions in Sage; and / or in Netsuite
- Monthly expense variance analysis;
- Reconcile bank, credit cards and inter-company accounts
- Assist with Balance sheet accounts reconciliations;
- Assist with HST / GST, PST, EHT, WSIB, Payroll tax returns;
- Maintains regular contact with other departments to obtain and convey information and / or to correct transactions;
- Assist and coordinate with higher level management for special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
- University Degree / College Diploma in Accounting field;
- Minimum 3 years of general ledger accounting experience is required;
- Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, tax laws and reporting requirements;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization;
- Computer literate, including effective working skills of QuickBooks / Sage / NetSuite, MS Word, Excel and OutLook;
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently;
- Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills;
- Analytical and problem solving skills;
- Sage and / or NetSuite experience preferred.
