Responsibilities

• Liaise with internal and / or external parties to provide technical system support, investigate and resolve system failures possibly related to Radio Frequency propagation problems, and create contingency plans for facility outages when required to ensure system reliability, including propagation problems, authentication or other network issues.
• Provide technical support for decision making by clearly communicating information regarding advanced metering technology and its operation to other team members.
• Provide advanced technical expertise related to systems programming, documentation, and troubleshooting within various systems of responsibility.
• Perform daily and periodic assessments of the operation telecommunication systems, and isolate, identify, and resolve issues within deadlines.
• Follow engineering standards related to system design, and documentation form queries on various database systems and analyze the data to assist other business units in obtaining required information from various systems.
• Assist in facilitating, design, coordinating of installation, and commissioning of communications devices including the planning and design process for telecommunications networks.
• Plan and co-ordinate firmware upgrades to telecommunications networks.
• Document and create standard operating procedures on common technical tasks.
• Estimate / manage / complete a series of tasks required for more complex projects.
• Provide advanced support to team members and various workgroups including acting as a subject matter expert for Operations Telecommunication work and projects. Provides technical advice and guidance to Technologist 2s.
• Contribute to assigned committees and projects, conducting a full range of complex technical and statistical functions. Duties may include : establishing user requirements;
• performing evaluation and acceptance tests;
• gathering and analysis of data;
• evaluating the risk of various alternatives;

analyzing data, and researching discrepancies, and,

providing recommendations and implementing solutions.
