Clinical Coordinator
Job Description
The Clinical Coordinator, under the direction of the Manager, is primarily accountable for the system navigation and coordination of patient flow for Medicine nursing units.
This is achieved by the Coordinator having an ongoing awareness and involvement in workflow of the Medicine units. Duties include bed management, discharge planning, advocating for the patient / family, identifying supply and equipment needs and assisting with staff scheduling.
The Clinical Coordinator will assist in project advancement and focus on data / metrics on Medicine services.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree / Diploma in Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Current CPR Certification
- Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
Experience
Minimum of five years recent acute care nursing experience, three of which must be in the specific clinical area.
